Mayoral Strategic Authority
Working across Steadfast and Hearth on the priorities that benefit from action at a wider regional scale.
Steadfast & Hearth Combined Sphere Authority brings six constituent councils together to make decisions and coordinate work on strategic issues that cross local boundaries.
The Authority covers strategic place, infrastructure, movement, skills, growth and investment, communities, resilience, culture and wellbeing. It works with the councils, central government and other public bodies so that regional priorities can be considered together rather than as six separate local programmes.
Alderstead, Brightmere and Stonehaven currently take part in formal Authority decision-making. Rosehaven, Bridgewell and Greenhaven are constituent councils and will take part from their respective commencement dates.
The first Mayor has not yet taken office. Until then, the active constituent councils carry out the collective Authority business that can be undertaken before the mayoral arrangements begin.
