What we publish
This section brings together the Authority's formal publications and the routes to its public records. It includes strategies and plans, financial information, consultation material, reports and transparency information.
Meetings, agendas, reports, minutes and formal decisions are published through the meetings and decisions service because they form part of the democratic record rather than an ordinary document collection.
Strategies and plans
Strategies and plans set out the Authority's agreed direction in areas where it has a responsibility. Each published document identifies its status and links it with the decision that approved it and any later update or review.
Regional strategies can depend on constituent councils, central government or other public bodies for delivery. The document and supporting decision record explain those relationships so that an Authority strategy is not mistaken for a transfer of another organisation's responsibilities.
Budget, accounts and finance
Financial publications cover the Authority's own budget, accounts and other information required to explain how public money is authorised, controlled and accounted for.
The Chief Finance Officer is responsible for the proper administration of the Authority's financial affairs. Funding and investment records identify the source and purpose of money and the decision under which it is committed.
Reports and evidence
The Authority publishes reports and evidence where they form part of formal business or an approved public product. Evidence can support strategies, investment decisions, scrutiny, performance review and consultation.
Transparency and governance
Transparency information explains who takes decisions, how the Authority is governed, how money is controlled and how people can obtain information or challenge administrative handling. The transparency section links the relevant governance, finance, information-rights and democratic records.
Consultations
Open and completed consultations are published separately. Each consultation explains what is being considered, how to respond, the closing date and what happens after responses have been considered.
How documents are published
Only documents that have been formally published by the Authority appear in these collections. If a collection is empty, the Authority has not yet published a document of that type.
